Valentine Kisses

Just for those last minute Valentine's Day gifts... Candy Kiss labels!

Download these here.

Print, cut or punch out, and glue or tape them to your kisses!! Personally, I like to print them on 8.5 X 11 inch shipping labels because they already stick! I use a .75" circle punch.

For personal use only, please, and HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

Christmas hang tags

I created these little circles last year, and I thought that I would share them with you! You can download them here.

I changed the fonts a little, but they are fun, and I hope you enjoy them!

Oh, they are for personal use only. Thanks!

Painted Wooden Labels

I have been really trying to clean and consolidate some of my supplies.  I feel like stuff is all over the place!!  I had some spare baskets, these wooden circles from Joann's, and some chalkboard vinyl.  The chalkboard is great because you can change the contents, erase and write again.  They make things look so neat!

First, I painted the circles.  I have been using some of the new Martha Stewart craft paint.  I love the finishes that they come in, and the colors are delicious!  This color is called "Summer Haze."

Once the circles were dry, I sanded them with some steel wool just to smooth them a bit.  I cut out the chalkboard vinyl with a circle cutter and centered it on top of the wooden circle.

If you haven't seen the Bistro Chalk Marker, they are really awesome for chalkboard vinyl.  They come in a variety of colors, too.

I glued some linen twine to the back of each circle and attached it to the basket.  Easy to make little tags to keep things organized.  Anyone have any fun and easy labeling tips out there?

DIY Party Hats

I saw a tutorial a while ago for a DIY party hat.  The link to that page is no longer found; so, I decided to make one of my own.

For these little hats, you will need:
  1. assorted 12 X 12 paper
  2. a party hat to use as a template
  3. crepe paper streamers in matching color
  4. two sided tape
  5. eyelets (optional)
  6. round cord elastic found at most sewing stores
First, trace the hat template onto your 12 X 12 inch paper, and cut out the hat.  Cut two lengths of streamers that are a little longer than the bottom (rounded part) of the hat.  Lay these on top of each other, and sew them right down the middle.

Next, fringe the sewn streamer on both sides of the center stitches.  Be careful not to cut the stitches.  I bought these fantastic scissors at Joann's.  They are made by Martha Stewart, and with a 40% coupon, they were around $6.00.

Once you have fringed the streamer, fold it in half along the stitching line.  Run a piece of two sided tape along the bottom of the hat, and adhere the streamer to it.  Roll the hat, and insert the tab into the slot to complete the cone shape.  Run some two sided tape along the edge of the hat, if necessary, to keep it together.

Using a hole puncher, make two holes on either side of the hat for the string.  Although they are optional, I added eyelets to the holes just for reinforcement.

Cut a piece of elastic about 16 inches long.  Run the end through the eyelet, and tie two knots in the end so that it doesn't slip out of the hole.  Repeat on other side.  You are done!!  Enjoy your party!!
